Follow the steps:
Configure your firewall to open 8019 port for the tool and QuickBooks applications on the client and server. Ensure the server has hosting turned on. Ping the server. A ping should succeed with the client and the server.

Open the QBDSM and click “Scan.” If that doesn’t run, rebooting the whole DSM will usually resolve it, but the problem will certainly return.
Follow these steps if you only have the QuickBooks Database Server Manager installed on the server OR if the previous solution did not resolve the issue.
